Over the past few weeks we shared a couple of communications regarding our exciting news:  effective November 2, 2015 we have de-emphasized the Life Insurance Company of the Southwest (LSW) name and are now focusing on National Life Group!  We are making this update simply because our trade name, National Life Group, better reflects who we are and this is how we are now referring to ourselves.

It’s important to note that Life Insurance Company of the Southwest has been a member company of National Life Group for years, it will continue to be a valuable part of the group and will remain one of the companies that issues our life and annuity policies.

We know you have questions and we want you to know that we will continue to be here for you, the same way we have for years.  Please review the FAQs below, and if you have additional questions do not hesitate to contact us at (866) 243-7174.

Q:           Is National Life Group a new vendor?

A:            No, nothing here has changed.  Life Insurance Company of the Southwest is still the issuing company of our annuity policies in 403(b)/457(b) plans.  We want the slot to reference our trade name National Life Group because this is the name we will use for branding and marketing.

Q:           To whom should the salary reduction/deduction be remitted?

A:            Nothing here has changed.  Life Insurance Company of the Southwest continues to be the  issuing company of the policies and is therefore the proper payee.  All monies should be  payable  to Life Insurance Company of the Southwest, by whatever means they are transmitted (check, wire, etc.)

Q:           Does this rebranding effort cause a change to the W9?

A:            No, nothing here has changed.  Life Insurance Company of the Southwest is still the issuing company of the annuity policies in your 403(b)/457(b) plans, and the payee of premiums.  The correct W9 will reference Life Insurance Company of the Southwest.

Q:           We can only list one company in the system and it needs to match.

A:            We suggest using Life Insurance Company of the Southwest dba National Life Group.  If this has too many characters, we suggest abbreviating to LSW dba National Life Group.

Q:           What company will issue the 403(b)/457(b) policy  when the employee enrolls in the plan?

A:            Nothing here has changed.  Life Insurance Company of the Southwest is still the issuing company of our annuity policies in 403(b)/457(b) plans.

Q:           What address should I use when sending correspondence to National Life Group or Life Insurance Company of the Southwest?

A:            The centralized mailing address for all companies of the National Life Group is One National Life Drive, Montpelier, VT  05604.  All correspondence should be sent to this address.

Please note the physical office location of our Dallas Campus is located at 15455 Dallas Parkway, Ste. 800, Addison, TX  75001.

Again, if you have any questions, please call us at (866) 243-7174.

Thank you for your business.

Sincerely,

Maryann Ellis
