Pay tribute to the special people that make the selfless commitment to educating our future bright minds and enriching our communities.

As the saying goes “April Showers bring May Flowers”, and of course Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. May is certainly a busy month for most of us. It is a time to celebrate the mothers in our lives and memorialize the fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

The beginning of May is also National Teacher Appreciation Day, happening on May 3, or the first Monday in May each year.  This is one of my favorite holidays in May, as we get to recognize our Teacher Heroes.  In fact, the first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. Deservedly so, for these special people that make the selfless commitment to educating our future bright minds and enriching our communities.

Growing up the folks that helped shape my future were undoubtedly the Teachers in my life. They never gave up on me, even when at times I lacked the confidence in myself to overcome the education obstacles I experienced.

Since joining the National Life Group, I have been fortunate to meet several Educators throughout the country. Through our LifeChanger of the Year program, I have been able to recognize and celebrate Teachers that have made significant impacts in their communities.

I encourage you to think about that Teacher(s) who has made a significant impact on you or your children’s lives. You can help shine a light on them with a LifeChanger of the Year nomination.  Additionally, the National Parent-Teacher Association is celebrating their 125 year in 2022 and have several Thank a Teacher events lined up for Teacher Appreciation Week.
