After a school year that’s been memorable for all the wrong reasons, let’s give retiring educators something to celebrate instead.
Now that we’ve (finally!) made it through to the home stretch of 2020-21, it’s the right time – and the perfect year – to say thank you. Thank you for the years of service, the mentorship, the good memories. Thank you for being beloved pillars in so many school communities, for teaching three generations and making it look easy.
What’s your version of thank you? Let us know when you nominate your LifeChanger for the Capstone Award, specifically designated for retiring K-12 educators and school employees. Here’s how they’ll get the recognition they deserve in four easy steps: Â
HOW IT WORKS
- Nominate a LifeChanger who is retiring at the end of the 2020-21 school year by June 7th and tell us all about the difference they’ve made over their career. They can be a teacher, janitor, bus driver – anyone who works in a K-12 school or district.
- We’ll create a unique profile on our website where students, staff, and members of your community can leave comments and give your LifeChanger a proper send-off.
- We’ll send your LifeChanger a certificate congratulating them, and contact your local newspaper to share the good news.
- This summer, we’ll announce one Capstone Award winner to receive a $3,000 cash prize and a fabulous (virtual) retirement party!
Don’t know anyone who’s retiring this year? Our nomination form is still open to all K-12 educators. Nominate up to three below and they’ll be eligible to win one of our other 17 awards.
