A Statement from National Life Group, a National Coalition for Safe Schools’ Founding Partner and Sponsor

We are heartbroken by news of the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and our thoughts are with the teachers, parents, and students affected by this tragedy.

In 2018, Brian Copes approached us with a challenge: “We need to change the way we approach violence in schools.”

In partnership with Brian and other teacher leaders across the country, National Life Group helped found and fund the National Coalition for Safe Schools. NCSS is a teacher-led initiative that believes the best way to create safer and healthier schools and communities is to proactively address the root causes of violence and other negative behaviors.

There is so much more work that we need to do, and we can’t do it alone. Join our coalition and contribute to the national conversation about how to prevent school violence.

NCSS envisions a future where every K-12 school is a safe environment for learning and free from all acts of violence.

To get there, we need your help.

Get involved now.
